Philippians Prayer: He will continue the good work

Verse 6 (New living translation):
And I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again.

Having prayed with joy, Paul also has confidence in the Lord (see also Phil 2:24). Paul is saying to them that despite suffering they experience, God is not going to stop working. He has been at work in them through the act of salvation. But he doesnt stop there, he will continue working till the day that Lord Jesus Christ returns again.

Praise be to God that he is always at work and will continue in his work until the day of Jesus Christ.
